Debbie Cairo blends and weaves a fascinating new world of vampires. I wish it was longer as the world has so much more to deliver. At seventy-seven pages this is just the tip of the ice-burg with where this world can be taken. Enjoy!
Arianne, Night Owl Romance

This is an extremely exciting, and teasingly enticing plot for a story.. I would love to see a build up to the characters and get to know the history behind the storyline’s different facets. For me this feels like a sneak peek that only leaves me wanting more. The characters are seriously sexy, and well worth the read.
Lototy, Coffee Time Romance & More

Ms. Cairo writes an interesting novella. Her take on the vampire genre is unique and fun. Julia ran from her duties as a vampire leader in order to be with her human mate. She allows Lizzy to inhabit her body and the issues that come with being Julia.

I liked how Lizzy fell into the lifestyle. She didn’t understand, but she also didn’t shrink from her duties. She took what she wanted without regret. I liked how her sense of adventure got her into trouble as well. Some of us act first and think later and this made Lizzy relatable to the reader.

Billy made a great hero in that he knew what he wanted, but he almost came off as gruff when he didn’t need to. But he did personify the alpha male.

Billy and Lizzy needed to fend off the advances of the Chinese faction of vampires who wished to challenge Eric as the leader. I wished more of the actual battle had been part of the story to give Lizzy more of a role as the protector and fighter.

When she and Billy got together and admitted their affection for each other, the reader could feel the love and passion between them, which really made the story more powerful.

If you want a fun vampire novella, then you want to read Over My Dead Body. You don’t want to miss it. I give this novella 3 ½ cherries.
